Are you tired of paying never-ending bills for your cable and subscription fee? Well, you are not alone. In a world where every other thing demands a huge chunk of money, the least you can wish for is to not feel guilty about the overburdening bills when you watch TV. Television time is supposed to be your leisure time.

This is why you should think about switching to indoor TV antennas. By attaching an antenna to your TV, you will be able to cut down on all cable costs. If you are looking for a quality antenna, you might find Skywire TV Antenna to be an excellent option.

What is Skywire TV Antenna?

If you are clueless about antennas, don’t worry a you are far from being the only one. While the generation before us was well aware of this technology, millennials are not used to it. Therefore, you might find the idea of Skywire TV Antenna to be alien.

Skywire TV Antenna, as the name suggests, is a TV antenna that performs the same function as cable or satellite TV. The TV antenna is attached to a long thin cable. In the case of Skywire TV

Antenna, the cable is 10-foot long while the antenna itself is of 12 ounces. The antenna is placed either on the wall behind the TV or on the TV frame – the choice is yours.

SkyWireTV Unit Review

SkyWire TV Antenna works similarly to other indoor TV antennas. It has a multi-directional reception that allows it to provide its users with a vast range. This range is required to reach the broadcast towers. If the range does not suffice, an additional amplifier can be added to boost the range further.
Features of Skywire Antenna

Here are features that are included in the package:

  • A 30-mile signal range. This is more than enough to reach most broadcast towers. Unless you live off-grid, this range will suffice in ensuring you get a steady supply of channels.
  • The dimensions of the antenna are 13 by 12 inches. This is small enough for the product to be effectively hidden behind your TV. This feature makes sure that the aesthetic appeal and the décor of your TV lounge are not compromised.
  • The Antenna comes in black color. This means that even if you decide to place it within the line of sight of people, the device will blend in with the TV. (Here, we are assuming that you go for the traditional black models when choosing your television set)
  • The multi-directional reception sets it apart from other antennas in the market. This feature guarantees that you are never faced with reception issues. When you consider how irritating such issues are, you are bound to find this feature to be a source of convenience and a great value for money.
  • It comes with a 10-foot cable. This added accessory allows you to hide the wires of the antenna thereby guaranteeing that your décor is not harmed.
  • It can support 1080p HD TV, which means that it is compatible with most modern TV sets.

Why should you get Skywire TV Antenna?

In a world of satellite and cable subscription, the question that should arise in your mind is why you should get a Skywire TV Antenna?

If you are a budget conscious individual who wishes to do away with additional expenditure, Skywire TV Antenna is perfect for you. It allows you to eliminate cable fee while having access to free broadcast networks. Most news channels, shows, and children’s cartoon are available through this free channel. Popular networks that you will be able to access include ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW, and FOX. What else would you want to watch?

Is Skywire TV easy to set up and use?

SkyWireTV Cable Alterative ReviewOne of the worst things about using TV antennas is that they are too complicated to set up. Also, every time you switch the TV on, you have to set the antenna. We were pleasantly surprised when we used Skywire TV antenna and did not experience any of these issues.
Setting up the Skywire TV is very easy. All you need to do is plug the cable into your TV, place the antenna into your chosen location (it can be attached to the wall or placed on the TV frame), scan the menu and you will get the channels. Every time you want to watch TV, all that you will have to do is scan the menu. This scanning process is quite fast and hence is not frustrating, which is generally the case with TV antennas.

Examples of shows you may get through antenna:

What is the cost of Skywire TV Antenna?

The cost of Skywire TV antenna depends on how many you are purchasing. From their official website, you will be able to get one antenna for the price of $39.95. if you purchase more than one, a reduced rate will be charged.

Pros

Possible benefits of using the SkyWire TV Antenna is as follows:

  • It is a one-time cost.
  • It eliminates cable and satellite subscription fee.
  • It allows you to view over-the-air broadcast networks, which according to Nielson have the most-watched shows.
  • The antenna is thin and lightweight and hence can be placed wherever you like.
  • Setting up the antenna is very easy.

Cons

The drawbacks include:

  •  Premium channels, like HBO, and TSN(The Sports Network) will not be available.
  •  Reception can vary depending on what is broadcasted in your area and what is not.

Cant seem to find any info on that area, it seems to be far from any of the local broadcasters so if i had to guess you would get very few channels with a indoor antenna like Skywire TV. if you do try Skywire i suggest you get the booster to get you more range and probably more channels. Sorry i couldn’t be of more help

I don’t believe TSN is available via TV Antennas setups but there are plenty of local sports channels available I get 20(ESPN included) or so different sports channels but that will vary from location to location based on local offerings.

Unfortunately SkyWire TV is only available in 1080p HD. There are 4k from other brands but we have not found any that reliably support 4K. The technology in the 4K Antennas doesn’t seem to be as reliable yet. Plus most TV channels are not supporting 4k like movies and TV shows are. Hope that helps!

Local TV stations are not 4K, yet. Might be 20 years from now ! Buy a good UHF/VHF antenna made for outdoors. You may even need a good outdoor antenna amp. that boost at least 20 or more db. If you live more than about 30 miles from the stations. Don’t expect to get most stations that are on cable or sattelite. You will just get your local stations, plus their new sub stations that we didn’t get years ago. Example: we used too get channel 19, now we get channel 19, 19.1, 19.2. Most of these sub- stations carry old movies and old TV shows from the past.

I would mount it on a window if possible for best results but may block out some channels still. Short of moving out of that faraday cage(haha just kidding) or getting antenna on your roof you will have a hard time getting a good signal inside. The booster they sell may be helpful in getting you a better signal but from what I heard metal buildings are a REAL problem for indoor antennas because the metal building reflects the signals before getting to you

Hi Vaugn, you are in luck there seems to be TONS of channels available in your area. Check our Roger Simmons Page(click here) it has them all listed there. Keep in mind these are all the available Over The Air(OTA) channels. I suggest you take them up on their offer for the booster that gives you an extra 20 mile boost(50 total) you would really benefit from it because how many OTA channels there are around you. They don’t offer it to you till after you have purchased a unit from them though.

AS long as your TV has a Coaxial input which I think most TVs have even very old ones. It comes with a 10 ft High Performance Coaxial Cable and a euro adapter if needed as well depending where you are located.

In order to pick up the signal on a non-digital tv you will likely need to have a digital converter box to go along with the antenna. We had to get one for one of our tv’s. It would not give us any channels otherwise. You just need to follow the instructions that go along with the digital converter and hook up the antenna with it.

      May 4, 201811:27 pm -

Hello Terry, Yes it will although geographically speaking you are will only get the channels in London Ontario Canada and those channels(#) are as follows CITS-DT-2(#14), CICO-DT-18(#18), CJMT-DT-1(#20), CITY-DT-2(#31), CFMT-DT-1(#48), CFMT-DT-2,(#51). You may get a few more but quality may be spotty. If that isn’t enough and you want more channels they do offer you a booster after the initial purchase that will boost its range from 30 miles to 50 miles. I forget how much it was but it wasn’t much and that would give you access to about 6 more channels maybe a few more. There are about 21 total channels available in your area but would require a outside antenna(70 mile range) of some sort that is more powerful to pick up the frequencies further away. Skywire TV has a pretty strong built in antenna compared to some of the others ones I have tried so you may get some more of the available channels that are a little further out but you may only get those 6 if you don’t get the booster.

Do a search for ‘Local channels in ‘ on google and you should see which are around you. As for your antenna vs skywire it depends how good your current one is. Skywire gets 30 mile range which is great for an indoor antenna and also needs no adjusting of “bunny ears” so id guess you would get more, especially if you get the booster they offer you after purchasing the initial unit. They only offer it to people that have purchased Skywire to prevent people using it with competition units.

Im not sure I cant find any information on your location. If you do order and you get less channels than you would like then you can always request a refund.

Would you mind checking to see how well this would work in Longview, Washington, zip code 98632? We are very interested in purchasing if we could get a good number of stations. THANK YOU very much!

Try this site https://www.channelmaster.com/Antenna-Selection-a/134.htm Just add your ZIP code and hit Check button and it should give you an estimate on what channels your antenna will pick up.

I live in Kelseyville, California. It’s a rural mountainous area with the closest big city 60 miles away. Can you tell me how many channels I’d get? Also how can I get all NFL games if directv has exclusive rights through their NFL Sunday Ticket?

Hello Robin, Fredericktown, OH is what im getting with your zip code and Skylink TV should work in your area from what I can gather online. If not they do have a refund policy if you aren’t happy for some reason. Works great for me though. Hope that helps!

I looked it up and seems like about 20 channels would be available to you but that might vary slightly based on exactly where you are in Hamilton. Get the amplifier as well to help boost your range. you may even get a few more. Amplifier is offered to customers during checkout
